YWAM in Pichilemu
In 1993 Mitch Anderson arrived to Pichilemu with a vision to reach the youth in sports. God gave the vision during the prior years of traveling to Pichilemu to surf (while he was working in YWAM Santiago). It was then that he realized the need in this town and the Lord gave him a vision that confirmed what was in his heart.
The vision was to begin a missionary training center as well as a sports complex for the community which would offer services to the community through sports, discipleship and councelling.
In the year 1994 the Lord gave us the property where today Youth with a mission Pichilemu has its base, the first months the Anderson family began to the work along with two volunteers, the Beltran and Pereira family.
Since the 12 years that we have been here, we have been part of the training and working of God in hundreds of students of different nationalities, many of them are serving to the lord on a full time basis in their local churches or in other nations.
It is our yearning to see these opportunities of training and service multiplied in great way in the future.
We have great vision for the future and many dreams and goals that we would love to see accomplished. We hope to someday have a Christian school for the education of the children of Pichilemu as well as a radio station that would play contemporary Christian music. We also hope have an amphitheater for events and to give place to the development of the art.
To the nations!
